A Legacy of "Service First"

1999 – 2001: From a Pole Shed to a Regional Partner

Our story began with a simple observation by our founder, Craig Willert: the garage door industry was missing a distributor that actually prioritized the dealer. Starting in a small pole shed in Baldwin, Wisconsin, Craig built CWGDD on the promise of reliable wholesale delivery.

By 2001, your demand for a better partner led us to our first major facility in Woodville, WI. We didn’t just build a warehouse; we built a foundation for the long-term success of local installers and lumber yards.

2003 – 2021: Expanding Your Competitive Edge

As your businesses grew, so did we. Major expansions in 2003 and 2016 weren’t just about storage; they were about readiness. We grew to a 25,000-square-foot operation and invested in a company-owned fleet of trucks to ensure that when you placed an order, it arrived in pristine condition, every time.

A New Era of Distribution Power

2022 – Today: Leadership for the Next Generation

In 2022, leadership transitioned to Craig’s son, Jon Willert. Under Jon’s vision as President, CWGDD has entered a phase of rapid modernization and massive capacity.

  • 2026 Milestone: We officially opened our new 48,000-square-foot facility in Woodville, Wisconsin.

Jon Willert

President
Jon started in the family business as soon as he could lift a hardware carton. He has been full time with CWGDD since graduating from St Cloud State University in 2014. Jon truly enjoys leading and being apart of a culture that genuinely cares for one another and for the people the business serves. Outside of work, Jon can be found with his wife, Trisha, and two young boys traveling to the lake fishing, hunting, or enjoying any sort of sporting event (especially those held at Lambeau Field!).

Al Borgeson

VP of Dealer Relations
Al Borgeson is the Vice President of Dealer Relations at CW Garage Door Distribution. Starting in 2000, he was CWGDD’s first employee and what a journey it’s been! While serving the customers of CWGDD, lifelong friendships have made his career exponentially rewarding. As the minority owner, he has a unique insight and interest ensuring our dealer relationships remain healthy. He resides in Menomonie, Wisconsin and has two adult children. His son, Alec, is now working for CW Garage Door Distribution as a Sales Representative. During his time off you’ll find him enjoying the outdoors at his retreat in Barnes, Wisconsin.

Mike Miller

General Manager
Mike is originally from Grand Rapids, MN and currently resides in Menomonie, WI. He graduated from Bemidji State University with a Business Major and Military Science Minor. Mike proudly served 7 years in the US Army Transportation Corp, living in 5 different states along the way. After serving our great nation, Mike has held various leadership/management positions in logistics, distribution, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, planning, customer service and inside/outside sales within corporate America. He joined CW Garage Door Distribution in 2018 as a Sales Representative and has been General Manager since 2022.

Deana Pretzer

Success Manager
Deana was born and raised in Arizona but made a big change in 2012 and moved to Williston, ND. She worked for an agriculture company as the Office/Payroll Manager with 125 employees across North Dakota and Montana. In 2015, Deana decided to move to Western WI where she worked for a monument company becoming the Operations Supervisor for 8 locations within Wisconsin. In the fall of 2022, CW Garage Door was looking for a new member to add to their team and with her diverse background, found it to be a great fit! She likes to travel, spend time with her kids and being in the great outdoors.
